(BOLTON, MS) Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has awarded $13,722,914 in Head Start and Early Head Start funds to Friends of Children of Mississippi, Inc. Head Start is a federal program that promotes the school readiness of children ages birth to five from low-income families by enhancing their cognitive, social and emotional development.
