Congressman Thompson Announces Winner Of Mississippi's 2nd Congressional District 2023 Art Competition

Bolton, MS – Today, United States Representative Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) announced winners of the 2023 Second Congressional “Artistic Discovery” Art Competition. This year’s 1st Place winner is Arthur Davis from Vicksburg High School. I would like to extend my congratulations to Arthur Davis and Vicksburg High School for placing first in this year’s competition.

The 1st Place winner along with one other person will receive round trip accommodations to Washington, D. C. in June to compete with the other Congressional District winners.

 The other winners are as follow:

2nd Place - India Willis of Grenada High School

3rd Place - Kennedy Smith of Yazoo City High School

Honorable Mention - Myah McGee of Ida B. Wells

Honorable Mention - Aynecia Gardner of Ida B. Wells
