Virginia Democrats Launch New Billboard Campaign Slamming Sears for Praising Medicaid Cuts

Majority of Virginians Oppose Medicaid Cuts

VIRGINIA - On July 28, 2025 Virginia Democrats launched three billboards along I-64 highlighting Winsome Earle-Sears praising the Trump tax bill that’s taking healthcare away from 322,000 Virginians and will force at least six rural hospitals to close. The billboards read “Trump’s Tax Bill: Takes healthcare away from 322,000+ Virginians. Trump’s tax bill ‘does so many great things.’ - Winsome Earle-Sears.”  

“As 322,000 Virginians are being stripped of their healthcare and rural hospitals will be forced to close, Winsome Earle-Sears believes the Trump tax bill is doing ‘great things.’
Every time Virginians see these billboards, they’ll be reminded that Sears thinks Virginians losing access to healthcare is ‘great’ and she owes them answers about why she isn’t fighting for the Commonwealth,” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.
