Statement On the Deadly Shooting in Minnesota

June 14, 2025

Sioux Falls, SD - "On June 14, 2025, we are saddened by these attacks of political violence in Minnesota against our Democratic colleagues, Rep. Hortman and Sen. Hoffman, as well as their families.

We have reached out to the DFL leadership and offered our condolences. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families. Please continue to uplift one another and lead with compassion, even in the face of those who try to tear this country apart. The South Dakota Democratic Party stands with our State Legislators and Minnesota colleagues in condemning violence of any kind against our political leaders."
