Sears Comments Downplaying Attacks on Virginia Jobs Spark Backlash from Federal Workers

Sears: “Oh you mean it’s not unusual? It happens all the time… And the media is making it out to be a huge, huge thing, and I don’t understand why”

VIRGINIA – Following Meidas Touch reporting audio of Sears dismissing the attacks on Virginia jobs, former federal workers and American Federation of Government Employees called out Sears for downplaying attacks on Virginia jobs.

“As thousands of Virginians face layoffs, Winsome Earle-Sears continues to downplay and dismiss attacks on Virginia jobs. The Commonwealth deserves a leader who will fight for them instead of standing by like Sears is,” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.
