Virginians Call Out Sears Dismissing the Trump Administration’s Attacks on Federal Jobs

April 25, 2025

HENRICO, VIRGINIA – Outside of Winsome Earle-Sears’ campaign stop in Henrico on April 25th, Virginians called out Sears for dismissing and downplaying the Trump Administration’s attacks on federal workers and Virginia’s economy. Attendees handed out “pink slips” highlighting Sears’ disastrous record of supporting Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs.

“As thousands of Virginians face layoffs and Winsome Earle-Sears continues to downplay and dismiss attacks on Virginia jobs, Virginians are holding her accountable and won’t forget her disastrous record of supporting Trump’s attacks on Virginia jobs. Virginians know they deserve a leader who will fight for them - it’s why in November, they’ll be sending Sears her very own pink slip,” said DPVA Spokesperson Maggie Amjad.

  • When a reporter asked about her comments, Sears doubled down and said her message to Virginians facing layoffs is “Don’t despair. Please go to the website.
