Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on Dan Quick Flipping a Rural Seat Red to Blue for the State Legislature

LINCOLN, NE – The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb issues the following statement regarding Dan Quick being elected to the state legislature to represent the voters of Legislature District 35 after the Hall County Election Commission’s final ballot count today. A seat held by a Republican in a rural part of the state:

“Dan Quick knocked on doors, spoke directly to voters about their concerns, and always showed up. He will represent the voices of working class and rural Nebraskans as he heads to the legislature to tackle major issues from property taxes to the massive shortage of affordable housing. The Democratic Party is proud of Senator-elect Quick, and we thank him, the Hall County Democrats, and the volunteers who worked hard to win this race.”
