August 4, 2025

RICHMOND - On August 4, 2025, Democratic Party of Virginia Chairman Senator Lamont Bagby announced the hiring of Chris Bolling, a former Democratic Party of Virginia Executive Director, to serve as the next Executive Director of the DPVA.

“It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I announce the return of Chris Bolling as the next Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Virginia. Chris is no stranger to DPVA and has a deep understanding of what we’re fighting for every single day. Previously as Executive Director, Chris led with unwavering commitment, sharp political acumen, and drive to grow our party, expand our reach, and elect leaders who will provide real results for Virginia," said DPVA Chairman Lamont Bagby. “Under Chris’s previous leadership, we saw unparalleled success in all four cycles of his tenure. As we enter this critical election cycle and continue to set the standard for the Democratic Party, there is no one more prepared to guide our day-to-day operations and sharpen our strategic focus than Chris.”

“I am excited to return to DPVA as the new Executive Director. In a year so crucial to the future of the Commonwealth, electing Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, Senator Ghazala Hashmi, Delegate Jay Jones and expanding the majority in the House is my top focus," said Bolling. "Virginia Democrats led the way in 2017, and I look forward to joining the fight as we do so again in 2025."
