Congressman Cohen Expresses Horror at School Shooting Deaths in Nashville

March 27, 2023

MEMPHIS – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) is closely monitoring events following this morning’s deadly shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, and made the following statement:

“This horrifying incident at an elementary school in which three children and three adults have been confirmed killed is yet another reminder that we must keep guns from the wrong hands. Whatever the senseless motive for this killing, Tennessee must find a way to strengthen its comparatively weak gun laws in an effort to save innocent lives.”
