WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09), a longtime member of the Congressional Animal Protection Caucus, has once again received a “100 +” on the Humane Society of the United States 2022 legislative scorecard. The recognition accounts for Congressman Cohen’s actions, including critical votes, advancing the humane treatment of animals. The Humane Society of the United States named Congressman Cohen one of two “Humane Horsemen” of the year in 2021 for his work protecting Western wild horses and competitive show horses.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“I appreciate The Humane Society of the United States recognizing my work preventing harm and promoting the safe treatment of animals.  It has been a pleasure to work with The Humane Society throughout my legislative career and it is an honor to again be recognized with its top score – ‘100+’ -- for my work in Congress advancing our mutual interest in protecting animals.”
