According to Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference, state government to see an extra $770 million in 2025 and $910 million in 2026.
LANSING — On Jan 10th, the Consensus Revenue Estimating Conference (CREC) released the final revised estimates for the revenue forecast — and Michigan is set to take in hundreds of millions more than expected. With a strong economy, significant GDP growth, and investments in Michiganders across the state, Michigan Dems have built a thriving economy with balanced budgets.
“Democrats are building a world-class economy here in Michigan that is not only fiscally responsible but invests in our communities and industries,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “As if creating jobs, lowering costs, and supporting public school students wasn’t enough, Michigan Dems agenda also had a balanced budget with more than a billion dollars of revenue over what was predicted.
“I’m proud of Governor Whitmer and the state legislature’s hard work over the past two years, and I am thrilled to see that Michiganders will reap the benefits of what Democrats have sown. Hopefully, this shows Matt Hall and his Republican colleagues that Democrats are already delivering for Michiganders, and they need to get on board or get out of the way.”
