West Virginia Democratic Party Thanks Supporters and Volunteers, Vows to Continue Fighting for Progress

Charleston, WV – On Nov 8th, West Virginia Democratic Party Chair Mike Pushkin expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Democratic supporters and volunteers who dedicated themselves to the 2024 election, working tirelessly to create a brighter future for the Mountain State.

“To every single person who gave their time, energy, and passion to this campaign, I cannot thank you enough,” said Pushkin. “While we may not have achieved all the wins we hoped for, we must remember that this is just one battle in a much larger fight for the values we hold dear. And make no mistake—while we may have lost this battle, we have not lost the war.”

Pushkin emphasized that Democrats in West Virginia will never surrender in the fight for progress. “Our commitment to this state and its people remains as strong as ever. We will never yield to those who would roll the clock back on reproductive freedom, workplace safety, a living wage, access to affordable health care, quality education, and retirement security. These are not just talking points—they are fundamental rights that West Virginians deserve, and we will continue to defend them with everything we have.”

Pushkin acknowledged the challenges of running a campaign in a climate where economic anxieties still weigh heavily on voters’ minds, despite significant national efforts to stabilize the economy. “Yes, inflation concerns have been on people’s minds, even as the Biden-Harris Administration has helped our nation avoid a recession and mitigate these effects. We understand that families are feeling the pressure, and that’s exactly why we must continue our fight for policies that lift up working families in West Virginia.”

Reflecting on the efforts of the Democratic community, Pushkin encouraged everyone to keep their heads high and stay resilient. “Together, we have laid the groundwork for the future of our state, and together, we will continue this work. We are not giving up, and we are not backing down. We are moving forward, committed to protecting and expanding rights, improving economic security, and creating opportunity for every West Virginian.”

“Today, let’s recognize the incredible contributions of our supporters and volunteers who believe so deeply in the values of fairness, opportunity, and respect for all West Virginians. Thank you for your unwavering commitment. We are stronger because of you, and together, we will continue fighting for the West Virginia we know is possible.”
