Democratic County Conventions will be occurring this Saturday, March 16th all across the state. You are invited and encouraged to attend and to participate in your county convention.
What is a County Convention? A County Convention happens once every 4 years and the purpose is to elect delegates and standing committee members to the State Democratic Convention. The County Convention participants can also consider proposals for amendments to the State Platform and consider resolutions. Overall, county conventions are a great opportunity for Democrats within a county to meet and discuss issues that are important to them!
The State Convention elects delegates to the National Democratic Convention, elects Presidential Electors and adopts the WV Democratic Party Platform. The WV State Democratic Convention will be June 14-15 at the Charleston Civic Center.
