What Does Rachelle Morris Have to Hide?

September 9, 2024

Salt Lake City - Utah Democratic Party Chair Diane Lewis and Salt Lake County Democratic Party Chair Jade Velazquez released the following joint statement on Sep 9th.

“We are disappointed to learn that Rachelle Morris, the Republican nominee for Salt Lake County Council District C has back-tracked on her initial promise to debate Natalie Pinkney, the Democratic nominee. Rachelle has offered no public explanation for her withdrawal, which begs the question: why is she skipping this debate?

Is it that she has something to hide? Or does she know that her record doesn’t stand up in comparison to Natalie’s proven track record of helping families? Whatever the reason, Rachelle’s withdrawal proves that she doesn’t think it’s worth her time to explain her policies to voters. That is not the kind of leadership that Salt Lake County deserves.”
