Statement on Derogatory Remarks Made at Trump Rally This Weekend

October 28, 2024

DES MOINES – Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart released the following statement regarding racist and misogynistic remarks made at Donald Trump’s rally in New York on Sunday:

“In New York on Sunday, Donald Trump and his campaign showed again why we need to reject the extreme MAGA Republican agenda on Election Day: racist jokes, unhinged insults, and a Project 2025 agenda to cut Social Security and Medicare, abolish the Department of Education, and create a national pregnancy tracking system. It’s time to put chaos and negativity in the past and start healing this nation. Iowans can make a plan to vote by going to iwillvote.com.”
