Statement: Mike Rogers and Donald Trump Are a Perfect Match - Both Put Themselves First and Michiganders Last

LANSING - Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Curtis Hertel released the following statement in response to Donald Trump’s endorsement of failed GOP candidate and fellow Florida Man Mike Rogers for a second doomed Senate run:

“Donald Trump’s endorsement of Mike Rogers is no surprise - they’re both self-serving Florida politicians who abandoned Michigan to enrich themselves and their wealthy friends. Rogers has already spent his campaign shilling for Trump’s toxic policies - including ripping away health care from thousands of Michiganders and the bogus Japan deal that Michigan’s auto industry has panned. Michigan voters saw through Rogers’ self-serving politics last year, and in 2026 we’ll send him packing for Cape Coral once again.”
