Statement from DNC Chair Jaime Harrison on the 2024 Democratic National Convention

Today, I am thrilled to announce that Chicago will be the host of the next Democratic National Convention on August 19-22, 2024! Democrats from across the nation will gather to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished over these past two years and share our vision for the future.

While each city in contention – Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York – put forward strong bids, I am confident that Chicago will host a successful convention to showcase our values and to celebrate President Biden and Vice President Harris.

This is a very exciting time for our party, and I’m so proud to be doing this important work with all of you. We look forward to sharing more information as it becomes available. In the meantime, our press release on this announcement is pasted below.
