Rinke Teases Big Announcement As Republican Primary for Gov. Continues to Devolve

LANSING - In response to Kevin Rinke teasing a potential gubernatorial campaign with a “big announcement” on August 23, Michigan Democratic Party spokesman Derrick Honeyman released the following statement: 

“The chaotic Republican primary for governor is devolving even further as out-of-touch millionaire and 2022 primary runner-up Kevin Rinke is now teasing a ‘big announcement’ on August 23. With John James, Mike Cox, Aric Nesbitt, and Tom Leonard already running - and Republicans across the state questioning James’ campaign - this primary is going to continue to get messier as infighting reigns and each candidate stakes out the most extreme positions.”
