Resolution Condemning the Support of Convicted Former President Donald Trump by Republican Leaders in Wyoming

Whereas, the principle of law and order is a foundational pillar of the United States, essential for maintaining justice, equality, and the rule of law;

Whereas, Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, has been convicted by a jury of his peers of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, which have been duly adjudicated in a court of law, demonstrating the impartial functioning of the American judicial system;

Whereas, the conviction of Donald Trump underscores the imperative that no individual, regardless of their position or influence, is above the law;

Whereas, numerous Republican leaders in Wyoming have publicly expressed their support for Donald Trump despite his conviction, thereby undermining the legal principles they purport to uphold;

Whereas, such support from elected officials and party leaders contradicts their expressed commitment to law and order, and raises concerns about their dedication to the principles of justice and accountability;

Whereas, the endorsement of a convicted individual by these leaders can erode public trust in the legal system and the integrity of public officials;

Therefore, be it resolved, we, the undersigned, formally condemn the actions of Republican leaders in Wyoming who continue to support Donald Trump despite his conviction, as it represents a blatant disregard for the rule of law and the principles of justice;

Be it further resolved, we call upon these leaders to reevaluate their stance and align their actions with their stated commitment to law and order, by withdrawing their support for Donald Trump and upholding the integrity of our judicial system;

Be it further resolved, we urge all political leaders and public officials to prioritize the rule of law and demonstrate an unwavering commitment to justice and accountability, ensuring that their actions reflect their words and the values of our democratic society;Be it further resolved, this resolution be communicated to the Republican leaders in Wyoming, to the broader community, and to relevant media outlets to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining the integrity of our legal and political systems.
