Nevada State Democratic Party Executive Director Hilary Barrett released the following statement on general election results being too close to call in key races:
“Nevada has some of the most accessible voting laws in the nation and, like election cycles in the past, many Democrats in Nevada have been voting by mail in this election. There are still thousands of mail ballots in Clark County and across the state that have yet to be counted or received. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto’s victory was not called until four days after Election Day in 2022.
“Ballots postmarked on Election Day can be received and counted up to four days after Election Day, and ballots in Nevada can be cured for an entire week after Election Day. Nevada Democrats have built an overwhelming ground game that was designed to win close races, and we have a massive staff and volunteer presence on the ground who began curing ballots weeks ago and are working to ensure that every vote is counted.
“We are confident that once every vote is counted, Nevadans will reelect Senator Jacky Rosen, Congresswoman Susie Lee, and other Democrats in key races up and down the ballot.”
