Nebraska Democratic Party Statement on the US Senate Passing of the Republican Reconciliation Bill

LINCOLN, NE - The Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb issues the following statement after the Senate Republicans pass Trump’s Budget Bill on a 50-50 vote with JD Vance providing the tie-breaking vote:

“Republicans will stop at nothing to harm working and middle-class Americans. All so they can give huge tax handouts to billionaires. From rural hospitals closures to millions of families being cut off from healthcare and food, to our energy security being weakened by eliminating competition to Big Oil. Only cruel, small-hearted people would push such a big handout to the top one percent at the expense of the rest of us.”
