With Iron County Dems’ re-establishment, Dems are continuing to show up for Michiganders year-round

LANSING - On May 7, 2025, Iron County Democratic Party members passed their bylaws to help grow momentum for Democratic candidates in the Upper Peninsula at every level of the ballot.

Following their formation, Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Curtis Hertel released the following statement:

“Across the peninsulas, Democrats are lining up to fight and win in every corner of Michigan. We are so proud of the Iron County Dems for showing up for their communities and building year-round infrastructure to compete at every level of the ballot. In the face of a Republican agenda that is gutting critical services and killing jobs, it is more important than ever that local Democrats across the state are expanding the map to fight for a brighter future for all Michiganders.”
