On Saturday, Sep 14th evening, the Missouri Democratic Party hosted a sold-out crowd of over 400 supporters for our 11th annual Truman Dinner in St. Louis. Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski (IL-13) fired guests up for the upcoming election as the keynote speaker of the program, which also featured gubernatorial candidate Crystal Quade and other Democratic candidates for statewide office, State Senator Doug Beck, and State Representative Kathy Steinhoff.
This year’s annual Truman Dinner presented several awards to Missouri Democrats across the state for their work and service to our Party, including:
“Missouri Democrats across the state are more energized and organized than we have been in years, and we are ready to bring that energy to the Polls on November 5th. With over 20 offices opened, seven new county committees organized, and candidates running in every congressional district, 15 of the 17 state senate and 135 of 163 state house districts, our Party is excited to see the wins our rebuilding efforts will yield,” said Vice Chairwoman Yvonne Reeves-Chong.
“Missouri has one of the most extreme, near-total abortion bans in the country, which cruelly does not make exceptions in cases of rape or incest, and overturning this ban will be on the ballot in November. Missouri Democratic candidates up and down the ballot have been champions in the fight to protect our rights and freedoms that have been under attack. Heading into November, Missouri Democrats are well-positioned to present a strong case to Missouri voters about what is at stake this election and highlight our solutions to address the critical issues facing our communities.”
