Louisiana Democratic Party is Pleased to Announce the Hiring of the New Executive Director, Dadrius Lanus!

Baton Rouge, LA - On March 27, 2025, it is with great excitement that the Louisiana Democratic Party announce the hiring of Dadrius Lanus as its new Executive Director! After a 5 month search process, Lanus was recommended by LDP Chair Randal Gaines and was approved with no objections by the elected members of the party’s Executive Committee. Lanus will lead the party as chief strategist utilizing creative grassroot efforts to help rebuild party infrastructure and revitalize democratic support across the state of Louisiana.

As a native of Baton Rouge, Lanus joins the LDP after serving 4 years as the Executive Director and Chief Development Officer of local non-profit, 100 Black Men of Metro Baton Rouge, where in 2023 the organization was named National Chapter of the Year by 100 Black Men of America, Inc. Lanus is a 2021 Baton Rouge Business Report Forty Under 40 Honoree and was selected as a 2024 50CAN National Voices Fellow. He brings over 15 years of political experience to the party managing local, state and federal campaigns. Currently, Lanus serves on the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board, where he was selected as School Board President in 2023.
