DES MOINES, IOWA — Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart released the following statement regarding tonight’s Vice Presidential debate:
“Iowans were reminded tonight that Kamala Harris and Tim Walz will put people over politics every time. They will work every day to solve the problems we face as a country – an economy that works for everyone, securing the border, and protecting fundamental freedoms. Meanwhile, Donald Trump will always look out for himself and play politics.
Trump and Vance have been working hard to implement dangerous policies included in Project 25 that will continue to rip away freedoms, gut worker’s rights, eliminate checks and balances, cut Social Security, give tax handouts to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of America’s middle-class and so much more. Their ideas are out-of-touch and just plain weird.”
