Republicans are never beating the crony allegations

Chicago, IL - After Donald Trump and Elon Musk ordered congressional Republicans to shut down the federal government, the Democratic Party of Illinois released the following statement:

“A government shutdown could halt Americans’ paychecks, pause disaster relief funds and wreak havoc on the nation’s economic stability. How can the Party that so desperately wants to define itself as for working families allow two billionaires to careen the nation into a pending government shutdown right at the holidays? Donald Trump and his MAGA allies are once again putting themselves and their own reckless agenda ahead of the American people, and as usual, it’s radio silence from the Illinois GOP.”
