IDP Reminds Voters To Check On The Status Of Their Absentee Ballot

October 21, 2024

DES MOINES – Iowa voters who have requested their absentee ballots can easily track where their ballot is by visiting https://sos.iowa.gov/elections/absenteeballotstatus/absentee/search.

This website helps answer voter questions about whether someone has requested an absentee ballot, and where their ballot is in the process of being delivered.

The Iowa Democratic Party is encouraging anyone who has requested an absentee ballot to have their completed ballot in the mail by October 25. Anyone who still has an absentee ballot after October 25 should take their ballot directly to their county auditor.

“Iowans who are excited to make their voices heard are voting early this year because it’s so easy to do,” said IDP Chair Rita Hart. “If you’ve requested an absentee ballot, make sure you use all of the resources made available to you by the Iowa Secretary of State and your local county auditor so you can make sure your early vote is counted.”
