The Department of Central Management Services has received notice from Governor JB Pritzker that all person or entities covered by the Illinois Flag Display Act are to fly the flags at half-staff in honor of:

Illinois State Police Trooper Clay Carns, 35, who tragically died in the line of duty on December 23, 2024. Trooper Carns joined the Illinois State Police on November 10, 2013, in Cadet Class 123, was assigned badge number 6512, and served for 11 years. 

Please lower the United States flags and the State flags at all  buildings occupied by your agency's personnel from:

Sunrise Saturday, December 28, 2024 until Sunset Friday, January 3, 2025
