DPG Statement on Trump’s NABJ Tirade

August 1, 2024

On August 1st, following Donald Trump’s appalling performance at the National Association of Black Journalists convention, DPG Chair Congresswoman Nikema Williams released the following statement:

“Trump’s racist rhetoric at the NABJ today – from insulting Black journalists to smearing Vice President Harris to doubling down on his ‘Black jobs’ comments – reminded us yet again why he is categorically unfit for the presidency. Trump is on notice: my ‘Black Job’ is keeping him and his hostile, divisive agenda out of the White House, and over the next 97 days we’re going to put in the work across Georgia to do just that.”
