Christina Bohannan Proves She’s Listening to Iowans While Miller-Meeks Doubles Down on Abortion Ban During Debate

DES MOINES — Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart released the following statement on On Oct 22nd’s First Congressional District debate:

“On Oct 22nd, Mariannette Miller-Meeks spent an hour running away from her record and showing just what a creature of Washington she has become. She’s not listening to the majority of Iowans who believe women should have the right to make their own healthcare decisions. Miller-Meeks voted for the Life at Conception Act, which would ban all abortions nationwide, no exceptions. Miller-Meeks’ extreme views and willingness to put donors and Washington insiders above Iowans are dangerous and out-of-touch with Iowans.

Christina Bohannan is the only candidate who trusts women to make their own healthcare decisions, supports public schools and has a plan to lower costs and strengthen our economy. Christina listens to Iowans and will put their ideas and needs first.”
