Arizona Elects Ruben Gallego

November 11, 2024

ARIZONA – Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano released the following statement after Ruben Gallego’s historic win, making him the first Latino elected to United States Senate to represent the great state of Arizona:

“Arizonans elected Ruben Gallego because they want a leader who is ready to fight for them, “ said Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano. “As the son of immigrants and raised by a single mother, Senator-elect Gallego understands the struggles of working-class Arizonans and is ready to hit the ground running in the Senate, working to decrease costs, protect our abortion rights, and fund public education. This is another strong step forward for our state and country.“

The Arizona Democratic Party is focused on helping Democrats during this year’s election cycle. Voters can visit azdem.org to sign up to volunteer, make a donation, or for more information on key races and initiatives within the Party.
