ADP Statement on the Four Year Anniversary of January 6th Attack on Capitol

January 6, 2025

ARIZONA - On the four-year anniversary of the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol, Arizona Democratic Party Chairwoman Yolanda Bejarano released the following statement:

“Four years ago today, Arizonans watched as Donald Trump and Arizona Republicans led a violent mob to storm our nation’s capital, attacking law enforcement and threatening our institutions. Republicans used Arizona as a testing ground for conspiracy theories and voter disenfranchisement, spreading misinformation about our elections and plotting a fake electors scheme. While Republicans lead with division, Arizona Democrats are protecting our Democratic institutions and delivering for working-class families by funding public schools, protecting water access, and lowering the cost of groceries.

“Today, we remember the 140 officers who were injured on January 6th and those who lost their lives due to the violence at the Capitol and make it clear that this attack on our Democracy can never happen again.”

The Arizona Democratic Party is focused on protecting incumbent Democrats and electing more Democrats up and down the ballot this next election cycle. Voters can visit azdem.org to make a donation or learn more about key priorities within the Party.
