6 Months In, Trump and Republicans Are Screwing Over Working Marylanders

As Marylanders endure 6 months of Donald Trump’s billionaires-first agenda, Maryland Democratic Party Spokesperson Joe Francaviglia released the following statement: 

“Donald Trump promised he’d lower prices in Maryland. Instead, at the 6-month mark, he has pushed a budget that will cost Maryland households $1,300  which will go to filling the pockets of the richest Americans. Thanks to Donald Trump, nearly 246,000 Marylanders will lose their health care coverage and almost 57,000 Marylanders risk losing access to food assistance. After six months on the job, one thing is clear: if you’re not a billionaire, Trump is screwing you over.”

At the 6-month mark, Donald Trump has broken his promise to everyone but his billionaire backers. In response, Democrats just launched TrumpTax.com to show what Trump is costing working Marylanders since stepping into office. Thanks to Trump:

• Nearly 246,000 Marylanders will lose health insurance
• 57,000 Marylanders are at risk of losing food assistance
• An additional 26,000 Marylanders could lose their job
• The Trump Tax combined with Trump’s reckless tariffs agenda, the median household will lose nearly $1,300 annually
• Marylanders’ electricity bills will rise by 16.6%
• Trump’s reckless tariffs have already cost Maryland businesses $870.1 million
