Where Are Iowa’s Representatives?

Republicans Missing in Action as Calls for Town Halls Go Unanswered

Washington D.C. – Iowa’s Republican Representatives, like the rest of the House, are now scheduled for time to visit their states and their constituents. Reps. Ashley Hinson, Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Zach Nunn, and Randy Feenstra, however, do not seem interested in actually fulfilling their duties.

Iowa’s Representatives are nowhere to be found when it comes to hosting town halls. So far none have been announced, and it isn’t likely that any will be hosted in the future. The reason for this is quite simple; Republicans are afraid of their own constituents. They can’t defend their attack on Medicaid, their support for Trump’s nonsensical tariffs, or the tax breaks they want to give to big businesses and billionaires.

“Iowa’s Republican Representatives are better at hiding from their constituents than representing them,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart. “Iowans have plenty of legitimate questions for their leaders, but with Republicans holding Iowa’s four congressional seats, those questions will go unanswered. Republican leadership is failing our state.”
