What to Expect: Carl Albert Dinner

Thank you for purchasing ticket(s) to the Carl Albert Dinner! We are excited to welcome you to the Renaissance Hotel and Conference Center for this event. This is our largest-ever Carl Albert Dinner - a statement to growing momentum in Oklahoma. We are a small but mighty staff - we ask for your patience and enthusiasm as we gather together this evening.

When to arrive

Chair’s Reception: Doors and registration will open promptly at 5:00 PM. 

Dinner: Registration opens at 5:30, Doors open at 6:00 PM, Dinner begins at 7:00 PM.

You may park anywhere in the Renaissance Hotel parking lot. You will be able to enter through the main hotel doors or through the convention doors to access the event. For your convenience you will find blue and white balloons marking the entrances designated for ticket purchasers. 

You’ve arrived! 

Once you enter the building, make your way to registration. We will have two identical registration desks; find the shortest line to pick up your tickets. Your tickets will provide you with your table number. Please provide your name at the credentials desk; if your table names were not provided in advance, provide the purchaser’s name. Once you’ve secured your tickets head to security. If you have requested a Vegan or Vegetarian option, please inform the volunteer assisting you during registration.

What to Expect: Chair’s Reception

You will need to pass through security to enter the Reception. The Chair’s Reception will have light refreshments and a cash bar. At the close of the Reception, avoid a second security check by following staff prompts to enter the Dinner Ballroom through the VIP entrance. This entrance closes at 7:00 PM and is only permitted with a staff escort. 

Security

Once you have your ticket for this event, you will need to go through metal detectors and security to enter the event. To expedite the lines, please empty your pockets fully and minimize the use of large bags, except for medical or childcare purposes.

Prohibited items 

You will not be permitted to bring a weapon of any kind into this event; including firearms, knives, tasers, and any item that could potentially be used as a weapon. No Items that disrupt or distract - this includes laser pointers, flashing lights, drones, loud noisemakers, large signs, banners, and/or any objects that could interfere with the program or other guests.

Dress code

Formal to semi-formal is the most common at the Carl Albert Dinner. 

Accessibility

We will not have valet parking for this event. People with limited mobility can utilize the circle drive to exit their vehicle closer to the event entrance.  Security will be able to accommodate wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
