Wyoming Democratic Party’s Women’s Caucus Condemns Roe Overturn on Second Anniversary and Urges Unified Action

Cheyenne – The Women’s Caucus of the Wyoming Democratic Party has released the following statement to mark the second anniversary of the Supreme Court striking down Roe v. Wade:

“In the two years since Roe v. Wade was overturned, millions of women have faced draconian abortion bans and assaults on reproductive healthcare, including access to abortion, contraception, and IVF. We now confront the brutal reality of women being forced to carry dead fetuses, jailed for miscarriages, and undergoing hysterectomies after being denied abortions. These stories are countless and heart-wrenching.

Women deserve the fundamental right to bodily autonomy – to control our own bodies and destinies without government interference. We urge women across the political spectrum to unite and vote in 2024 as if our lives truly depend on it. This is not about party lines; it’s about basic human rights.”
