Trump Scared Enough to Try Making Amends with Brian Kemp

August 24, 2024

On Aug 24th, after Donald Trump abruptly attempted to make amends for his years-long feud with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp – including just last month calling him “a bad guy” at a rally in Atlanta– DPG Executive Director Tolulope Kevin Olasanoye released the following statement:

“Donald Trump has been publicly picking fights with Brian Kemp for years. The only explanation for his abrupt attempt to smooth over the rift is that he’s terrified. And he should be: Georgia Democrats put our strength, enthusiasm and unity on full display at the Democratic National Convention, and we’re coming home to our 24 field offices, 150+ staff, and thousands of new volunteers ready to power the Harris-Walz ticket to victory.”
