Tim Sheehy’s Top Backers Can’t Tell Wyoming and Montana Apart

September 18, 2024

Sheehy previously used photos from Kentucky on his campaign website

Helena, MT – New reporting from the National Journal revealed that one of multimillionaire out-of-stater Tim Sheehy’s top backers, American for Prosperity Action, used a “wide shot of the Sunlight Basin in Wyoming” in a recent ad for Sheehy – embarrassingly confusing Wyoming for Montana.

This is not the first time that Sheehy and his circle haven’t been able to recognize Montana. Sheehy “incorrectly used photos from Kentucky on [his] website last year to tout his support for agriculture.”

Tim Sheehy and his big money backers don't care about Montana – and they campaign using photos from other states because they can't tell the difference.
