Three Weeks Out: Top Three Lies Kari Lake Continues to Tell Arizonans

October 15, 2024

ARIZONA -– Kari Lake claimed during her “utter disaster”’ debate performance last week, that she “has never lied to the people of Arizona.” With only three weeks left until Election Day, here are three lies Kari Lake has told the people of Arizona in her quest to gain power:

Lake refuses to admit she lost the 2022 election, despite court after court ruling she did lose:

During the debate last week, Kari Lake was slammed for “refusing to admit 2022 defeat during debate ‘disaster.’”

“I am the duly elected governor, they just stole it.” [4/5/23]

“We’re victims of crime. We’re not sore losers. We’re victims of a crime.” [4/17/23

Lake supports banning abortion and ripping away Arizonans’ freedom to make their own health care decisions:

Lake claimed she “she wants to protect ‘UVF,‘” during last week’s debate.

Kari and her campaign lied about her support for the 1864 abortion ban. [4/10/2024]

Lake lied about Arizona’s 15 week abortion ban having exceptions for rape and incest. [10/26/2022]

Lake lied when she said she opposed IVF restrictions, and days later said she wouldn’t vote to protect IVF in the Senate. [3/5/2024]

Lake lies to cover up her plans to gut Social Security and Medicare:

Kari Lake “proposes massive cuts to […] Medicare” in a budget proposal which would “gut […] Medicare, and veterans’ benefits” and jeopardize healthcare for over 1.4 million Arizonans on Medicare, and nearly half a million veterans living in Arizona

Lake has “[called] for a 75% reduction” in the federal budget, which would require cutting Social Security.

Lake “defends big pharma’s ability to price-gouge” Arizona seniors and increase their medication costs by millions of dollars.
