The Montana Democratic Party Demands Superintendent Hedalen Step Down After DUI Arrest

Helena, MT - The Montana Democratic Party’s Board Chair, Robyn Driscoll, released the following statement on Superintendent of Public Instruction Susie Hedalen’s DUI arrest last weekend:

“The Montana Democratic Party is calling for the immediate resignation of Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction Susie Hedalen after her arrest and DUI charge last weekend in Belgrade. The arrest not only undermines public confidence in her leadership, but the concerning details in the report raise legitimate questions about her qualifications and ability to lead the Office of Public Instruction. Hedalen made a dangerous decision to put lives at risk, and we demand full accountability and believe she must step down immediately.”
