Portland, Oregon – Excitement is in the air as the Democratic Party of Oregon’s Black Caucus proudly announces the arrival of Bakari Sellers, a dynamic political commentator, former South Carolina legislator (2006-2014), and passionate activist! Bakari is joining forces with Secretary of State Candidate Tobias Read and our amazing Black Caucus members to launch a powerful Get Out The Vote (GOTV) initiative in our community.

To kick off this amazing collaboration, the Black Caucus is hosting a breakfast reception on **Saturday, October 12th, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM** at Le Bontemps restaurant, located at **2716 NE Martin Luther King Blvd, Portland, Oregon**. This event promises to be an energizing platform for meaningful discussions, vibrant networking, and innovative strategies aimed at mobilizing the Black community for the upcoming elections.

We are thrilled to announce that our special guests will include Chair of the Democratic Party of Oregon, Rosa Colquitt, Senator Lew Frederick, Representative Nelson, appointed Representative Shannon Jones Isadore, and local candidates for Portland City Council! With such an incredible lineup of influential community leaders, this event is sure to inspire and motivate everyone involved as we unite to boost voter participation!
