Statement: Idaho MAGA Republicans Vote Down IVF Protections Again

September 18, 2024

After Republican Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch again voted down a bill that would ensure IVF protections yesterday, Idaho Democratic Party Chair Lauren Necochea released the following statement:

“Republican Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch once again blocked vital protections for IVF. These MAGA Republicans are responsible for placing IVF in jeopardy after overturning Roe and ripping away federal abortion protections — and the Project 2025 agenda would ban abortion and threaten IVF access nationwide. Idaho Republican Party bosses are already plotting to restrict IVF access, and it’s a dark preview of what’s to come if they gain more power. Families in Idaho don’t need MAGA Republicans telling them when or how they can grow their families.”
