Statement: Chair Barnes Highlights Contrast Between Gov. Walz and Vance’s Last Visits

November 1, 2024

Michigan Dems Chair applauds Walz’s dedication to showing up for Michiganders while Vance provides nothing but empty promises

LANSING — On Nov 1st, vice presidential candidates Governor Tim Walz and MAGA puppet J.D. Vance are coming back to Michigan four days before the polls close on the most important election of our lifetime. Their visits show the stark contrast between a leader like Walz who walks the walk and an imposter like Vance who is all talk.

“On Nov 1st, Governor Walz will travel around Michigan to encourage voters to head to the polls early so he and VP Harris can chart a new way forward for Michigan that defends our freedoms,” said Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party Lavora Barnes. “Vance, on the other hand, will come to Michigan to continue to insult Michiganders’ livelihoods and spread lies about Trump’s extremist Project 2025 agenda.

“Vance refused to protect hundreds of good-paying, union jobs in Lansing, calling them ‘table scraps,’ and that’s really all we need to know. While Harris and Walz are committed to keeping and creating even more high-quality jobs here in Michigan, Trump and Vance won’t even protect the ones we already have — which is why Michiganders will send them and their MAGA cronies packing next week.”
