Reason #2 Michiganders Can’t Trust Rogers: Mike Rogers Has a Decades-Long Record of Supporting Dangerous Abortion Bans

November 3, 2024

Mike Rogers said “federal and state governments were established” to restrict abortion

LANSING — With two days left until Election Day, Mike Rogers has given Michiganders countless reasons not to trust him to represent Michigan in the Senate. Rogers has a decades-long record of supporting and voting for measures that would ban abortion and could restrict access to IVF and contraception.

Rogers wanted to “enshrine fetal personhood in the Constitution,” and he celebrated the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. If Rogers had “lived in Michigan instead of Florida” in 2022, he would have voted against Proposal 3. Across the state, Michiganders are speaking out against Rogers’ toxic record of supporting abortion bans

Reason #2: Rogers has a decades-long record of supporting dangerous abortion bans:

  • Rogers refused to commit to supporting legislation to protect IVF at the federal level.
