MDP Statement on Commission Recommending AG Knudsen Have Law License Suspended

October 24, 2024

Helena, MT – The Montana Democratic Party Executive Director Sheila Hogan released the following statement after the Commission on Practice recommended that Attorney General Austin Knudsen’s license to practice law be suspended for 90 days for violating attorney ethics when refusing to comply with the Montana Supreme Court’s orders:

“It’s time to fire Austin Knudsen. We cannot trust someone with no concept of ethics or respect for the Montana Constitution leading as Montana’s top law enforcement officer and attorney.

Montanans deserve better. Montanans are voting for Ben Alke to permanently rid ourselves of Knudsen and his selfish political agenda and to restore integrity, dignity, and trust at the leadership level of the Montana Department of Justice.”
