Maine Dems Statement on the Anniversary of the Lewiston Shooting

Statement from Maine Democratic Party Chair Bev Uhlenhake:

“One year ago - October 25, 2023, 18 Mainers were taken from their families & communities in a horrific mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine.

“On Oct 25th, we grieve anew for those who were killed and admire the awe-inspiring resiliency of the survivors & families, the Lewiston-Auburn community, and the incredible outpouring of support from the people of Maine in the wake of this tragedy. As we continue to push forward and take steps to ensure that the awful events of that day can never again be repeated in another Maine community, we will never move on or forget the names and stories of those we lost.”
