IDP Chair Hart Issues Statement on Rising Inflation

July 15, 2025

DES MOINES - Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart released the following statement regarding the announcement that inflation numbers picked up again in June:

The president’s tariffs are driving up costs for Iowans and threatening Iowa’s economy, which has already shrunk more than any other state in the first quarter. Iowans can’t afford higher costs and a slowing economy. We need new ideas and real change.”
