Governor Shapiro Orders US, Commonwealth Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of His Holiness Pope Francis

On April 21st, Governor Josh Shapiro ordered United States and Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to fly at half-staff immediately in honor of His Holiness Pope Francis, who passed away today.

The flags shall be lowered to half-staff until sunset on the date of interment, which has yet to be released.

All Pennsylvanians are invited to participate in this tribute. 

Pennsylvanians can receive flag notifications through the AlertPA, or Code Red, system by creating an account on the Alert PA site and selecting the Flag Notifications alert.
