Georgia Democrats Announce Party Elections Calendar

April 4, 2025

Democratic Party of Georgia Interim Chair Matthew Wilson on April 4th, announced the elections calendar to fill officer vacancies following the resignations this week of Chair Nikema Williams and Treasurer Jason Esteves.

DPG elections will be held on May 3, in Atlanta. A number of in-person, regional candidate forums will precede the May 3 election, followed by a Unity fundraiser held mid-May.

“Georgia Democrats are laser-focused on holding Republicans accountable at the ballot box this year and next for all the harm they’ve caused hardworking Georgia families,” said DPG Interim Chair Matthew Wilson. “We’re wasting no time filling these vacancies because the stakes couldn’t be higher, and every Georgian sick and tired of being sick and tired will be working together to defeat Republicans in 2026.”

Specific dates for the candidate forums and the Unity fundraiser will be rolled out next week.
