Chicago, IL -- In the home stretch before November 5th, the Democratic Party of Illinois remains a statewide resource through its voter protection hotline, which reopened last month. The initiative has one clear goal: help ensure every eligible Illinoisan can cast their ballot by Election Day. Over 1,600 calls about vote-by-mail ballots, voter registration status and early voting locations have been answered by DPI’s Voter Protection Manager and DPI volunteers at 855-IL-VOTES.
“Election security and integrity, especially against a backdrop of online disinformation across the county, is a top concern for our Party. Whether it’s a call or text to our hotline or referencing our voter resource guides in English and Spanish, it’s important to me that voters know they can come to DPI for information and assistance with exercising their right to vote,” said DPI Chair Lisa Hernandez.
Along with DPI’s Protection Hotline (855-458-6837 or 855-IL-VOTES) and voter resource guides, the Party works with a group of volunteer attorneys from across the state who are ready to assist with voter protection matters as they arise. Voters can contact the hotline with any questions, concerns or problems with voting and can access voting information at https://ildems.com/vote.
